Headshot of the Week! | 1-20-2020
This week’s Headshot of the Week! is Tribe Talent Management’s lovely Amira Sun. This is where I usually write about the smile, connection, and such but do I need to? Nahh? I think it speaks for itself. Great job here, Amira!

I’m loving this Headshot of the Week! for this second week of 2020! Shelly is helping me kick off the new year with this killer look from our recent session. Great smile and excellent connection with the viewer here! Shows the difference in shooting images OF someone versus shooting WITH them.

This first Headshot of the Week! for 2020 is a look back into the past. This image of Ann is from 2017 and it’s nice look at what has changed, and what remains the same in my headshot shooting. The crop is tighter and the post processing is a bit different but the engagement with the viewer has remained the same. I believe that capturing that engagement is the most important..

Alyssa is helping me closeout Headshot of the Week! for 2019 with one of my favorite headshot images from the past year. This shot is from a quick set we took after my headshot workshop at the Midsouth Photo Expo back in August. Hope to get some more time to shoot with you in 2020, Alyssa!

This week’s Headshot of the Week! puts Tribe Talent Management model Dustin Steel front and center. And yes, he does have pretty much the best “model name” of all time 🙂

Headshot of the Week!
This week’s Headshot of the Week! is a real special one for me. Over the past few years shooting headshots at HCA Healthcare, I kept missing getting our CEO, Milton Johnson, in front of my camera for a headshot and when he retired, I was sure I’d missed my chance. Not too long ago, however, Milton arranged to come out to one of my monthly sessions I do for my HCA colleagues. After just a few minutes he nailed it with this expression. “Professional and Approachable”. I like to say a good headshot will show people what you look like, but a great headshot will you show people who you are. I think this image sums the man up quite well if I do say so.
Thank you for letting me capture this image, Milton!
