Marathon Melancholy
Malea looking rather melancholy during our shoot at the Marathon building back in 2011. I’ve been having fun going through some of these older images and re-processing them. A little split toning can go a long way to pump up the mood and feel of an image.

Meanwhite, on the Moody Side of Things…
Courtenay knows how to set a mood and can “flip the switch” in an instant. She brings an amazing sense of drama to this image. On the technical side this is lit with a single strobe in a 20″ beauty dish with a grid providing a nice tight circle of light. The sharp eyed viewer may note that her hands are cropped in this shot which is usually a “no-no”. In this case it adds to the moodiness here by throwing a bit of un-setteledness (is that a word?) to the overall feel of the image.
