Fresh out of my collection of images from my recent visit to the Santa Fe Workshops with Jeff Lipsky is this capture of the lovely Trishae Danielle. This image was taken at the Saddleback Ranch in Lamy, NM. This facility has an amazing mix of indoor and outdoor spaces that made from some beautiful light that was pretty easy to find. This courtyard here presented a large wall of concrete reflecting light on to Trishae from camera right. This broad, side-light created some great contrast and gives this image a “lit” quality that would usually require lighting gear. Of course she really brought her A-game to this shoot working with me to create this image which I hope you find as engaging and whimsical as I do. Thanks, Trisahe!

Stepping outside the studio with Autumn in this favorite from our recent session. We captured this as we wrapped up our studio session with Autumn standing across the street from the studio in Lenox Village. We waited til the end of our session as it was pretty hot and very humid. I’m standing across the street here with a Godox AD600 strobe and 22″ beauty dish next to and above me which is providing some fill to lighten the eyes and add a bit of contrast on this otherwise cloudy day.

The lovely Colleen Dowd gracing the space in front of my camera during our recent shoot in the studio. I love Colleen’s connection to the viewer in this shot and the relaxed vibe she has here. Thanks to Jaylene from Model Positive for consulting with Colleen during this shoot.
