Raspberry Rhapsody

Reaching back in the archives with this shot of Kate from four years ago. There’s likely more posts from my sessions with Kate than any other model I’ve worked with. Not only is she very beautiful, she worked for long stretches in front of the camera, racking up lots of “favorites” like this one. She never seemed to tire and was such a pleasure to shoot with. Hopefully she and I will get a chance to shoot again! — Come to Valencia, Kate!! 🙂 —

Fashionably Fit

I love visiting the images from this shoot with Kate from back in 2020. This shot was done in a parking garage with available light plus a small LED video light for fill. Kate’s not only effortlessly beautiful, but she’s also one of the nicest people you’ll ever meet. So glad to have gotten to shoot with her as well as get to know her as a friend.

Dream

Here’s a throwback Thursday image from my first session with Kate. We haven’t shot for a while now, but I still find new favorites from our sessions, like this one from 3 years ago. This shot is color graded in Camera Raw to provide the false color effect. From the get go, Kate was stunning in front of the camera, and she continued to shine in our subsequent sessions. One of the loveliest people I’ve had the pleasure to shoot with, no doubt!

False Color with Kate

Reaching back to one of my sessions with Kate back in 2020. This is one of those shots I wasn’t sure was all “that”. Not because of Kate (I mean look at her!) but I wasn’t thrilled with the color/contrast/feel of the shot. After a few minutes of editing, however, I think I may have turned it around. A little color grading and selective contrast adjustments, and now I feel like this shot speaks volumes.

Who’s Watching

Looking back to Summer of 2020 with this image of Kate from our “parking garage” sessions. Seriously, we spent an afternoon shooting in a couple of parking garages in Franklin which were quite empty due to COVID. Getting to shoot with Kate during that time was pure joy in a otherwise bleak time for a lot of us.
This shot was taken using available light plus a small LED video light for some fill.

Slow Your Roll

As 2021 draws to a close I’ve been reviewing my site and looking for new/previously unposted images to update my site. This image of Kate stopped my browsing for a moment as I decided it had to go into rotation here :). She and I shot a lot for a while last year and ended up with lots of keepers from those sessions. I’m sure she’ll appear in the feed here again before too long.

The Lovely Kate

Kate is gracing the space on my feed today with this captivating image from our session in Nashville this past summer. Kate’s pensive look here let’s the viewer create their own narrative for this scene. it’s a great example of how one can connect with an image without the subject’s eyes making the connection. Plus, Kate’s simply lovely no matter how you capture her
