Sometimes you don’t need anything more than light, a wall, and a lovely model like Elena. In this shot I didn’t see the need to chase the angle of light or create a blurred background. Elena simply leaned against the wall and immediately owned the space.

One of my favorites; from my shoot with the lovely Elena on the streets of Valencia. It might be a bit redundant to call this one of my favorites, as there are so many images from this shoot that there might be more “favorites” than just “good” ones. I’m happy to take some of the credit, but Elena certainly makes it easy to come away with compelling portraits like this one.

Alena is back in my feed today with another capture from our studio session. Despite the somber mood here, we were actually having a lot of fun during our shoot as we started initially shooting “digitals” for her, we wanted to have some fun doing some more creative images once we were done, and I think we got it 🙂
