I love the intensity that Emily brings to this “film noir” styled portrait. She has this unshakable connection to the camera here that begs the question ‘what’s on her mind’ but at the same time telling you not to ask.

On a side/technical note, that cigarette isn’t actually lit. The smoke and “cherry” were done in post. (Brenda would have killed me if we lit that up in her building)
