This last Headshot of the Week! for June, 2020 is one of my favorites from 2019. Belinda totally owns that space in front of the camera with an incredibly engaging look and attitude. Even though this shot breaks some of my “rules” like her hair partially in her eye, her look here just makes it easy to dismiss the rules. Plus she loves it which is what really counts. Looking forward to getting Belinda in front of my camera again next time she visits Nashville from the UK!

Jennifer Rogers, a senior advisor at NAI Nashville, is this week’s Headshot of the Week! and it’s so nice to have a fresh headshot to post. This session from yesterday morning with Jennifer is the first headshot specific session I’ve done in weeks (months?). I couldn’t have asked for a better way to get back into than working with one of my favorite people. So pleased she brought her “A” game (and those sparkling blue eyes) to the studio yesterday!

This Headshot of the Week! for this second week of June 2020 brings Kate front and center. Though we started with my usual white backdrop, I turned off the background light and loved the look here so we rolled with it. Kate has amazing eyes and they just grab your attention as soon as you see this shot. Plus I love the very subtle smile going on here!
Amanda Dowd provided the killer hair and makeup for this day of shooting. She was also a great help with reflectors and lighting during the day’s shoot. Thank you, Amanda!

Justin R. is our Headshot of the Week! for this Memorial Day, 2020. Justin has such and engaging smile here I knew one of his images would land on my weekly headshot post. Of course it doesn’t hurt that we have some red, white, and blue in this image.

Brian J. is showing us how it’s done for Headshot of the Week! for this third week in May. Brian’s got a friendly and engaging smile that works perfect for a business headshot. I’m often asked “should I take off my glasses?” and I always give subjects the option of doing with and without. My feeling is that if usually wear glasses you should wear them in your headshot. I think many people are worried about glare and such and get it. Fortunately my set up usually minimizes reflections and glare. There are glasses that are areal challenge but you can Brian’s glasses are completely glare free here with no retouching needed. 🙂
