Kicking off Headshot of the Week! for the New Year is Mary E.! I’ve known Mary for a while as a colleague at work before she moved on to other opportunities. I always hoped to get her in front of the camera when I was doing headshots at the office but our schedules never lined up. That’s why I was thrilled when she recently reached out to do headshot. Seeing her here makes it easy to understand why with that great smile and bright blue eyes, she made choosing her as a Headshot of the Week! pretty easy. Thanks so much, Mary!

Headshot of the Week! 12-28-2020

Jaquarius is closing out Headshot of the Week! for 2020 with this super cool headshot from our recent shoot. Jaylene Hall from Model Positive was working with Jaquarius during this session and we grabbed a lot of great headshots but this one really shines for me. His gaze is perfect balance of friendly and strong while he has just a light hint of a smile starting at the corners of his mouth. This guys has some awesome talent and is very easy going and fun to work with. Hope to shoot with you again in 2021!

Headshot of the Week! 12-14-2020

Bianca is kicking off the first Headshot of the Week! for December 2020 with this shot from back in February. Bianca has such a great smile and perfect engagement with the camera in this shot, plus I love her glasses. The shape and the red accents are just plain cool:). Headshot of the Week! 12-7-2020

Model, Musician, and all-around awesome to work with Jennifer Vazquez is kicking off the first Headshot of the Week! for December 2020 with this shot from 2019. This shot is from a session I did at the studio for many of the Tribe Talent models who volunteered for the MidSouth Photo Expo last year. I’ve since shot with Jennifer again but for some reason I overlooked that amazing smile and engagement from this shoot which should have been a HotW! much sooner than now.

Headshot of the Week! 11-30-2020

Jaylene and I are bringing a different look to Headshot of the Week! for this last HotW! of November, 2020. In this shot we had some fun with a fan which I placed just under the camera here to create the motion with her hair. This shot was lit with a single 22″ beauty dish (no grid) placed just above the camera view and slightly to camera right. A little more dramatic and “fashion” than my usual headshot look but it’s fun to step out of the box once in a while and the results were certainly worth it!

Headshot of the Week! 11-23-2020

Heading into the Thanksgiving holiday with Lauren S. bringing us Headshot of the Week! from our recent session at HCA Healthcare. Lauren brought her A-Game to this one and it was great to have my fist session of the day start off so strong. She brought some great energy and that brilliant smile all before 8:00am in the morning and I was certain this would end up in this space a few days later. Great job, Lauren!

Headshot of the Week! 11-16-2020

Brian S. is this week’s Headshot of the Week! with this image from our recent headshot session. While I’m still doing group sessions for my HCA colleagues I’ve had to make changes to accommodate social distancing during this time. One thing I’ve done is started shooting with more distance between me and my subjects. Also, everyone now waits outside the room instead and comes in only one at a time as each finishes up and I’ve also reduced the number of available time slots by half t reduce the possibility of people “bunching up” while waiting. So far it has worked well but I know we’re all looking forward to getting past having to make these accommodations. Like Brian is doing here, keep on smiling!
