Some BTS action from my recent studio session with Amber Bolton. During a lot of my studio sessions, I have a monitor connected to the camera, so the subject can see what I’m seeing. This can be a great “coaching” tool for the person in front of the camera, and it also encourages the client to be part of the process.
It’s not always easy or practical to have a monitor along at the shoot, unless it’s in the studio like I’m showing here. However, this monitor is small 15.6″ and light and I can power it with a USB power bank which I attach with Velcro to its back. This makes it possible to bring on location and use almost anywhere when and where it makes sense
