The beautiful Allee-Sutton Hethcoat  here working her magic during Ashley Hylbert’s recent portrait workshop at White Avenue Studio. This low-key portrait was created using a simple, one light setup with an AD600 Strobe to camera left with s 24×34″ softbox. The light is feathered (turned in the direction of the camera in this case) to keep the light off the gray background allowing it to go very dark behind her. Allee does an amazing job of drawing the viewer into the image and keeping you guessing at what should could be seeing and thinking.
